Where Does that Flavor Come From?

A bin of organic pumpkin seeds, ready to be mixed into a batch of Michele's Granola

When people try our granola for the first time, they’re often surprised by just how much flavor is packed into every oaty cluster.

The secret to that powerful punch of flavor isn’t much of a secret at all: It’s real food.

It’s all about real ingredients

We source oats, nuts, seeds, fruit, and spices from growers and vendors we know and trust. We bake with ingredients you’d find in your own well-stocked pantry—no shortcuts, no mystery “natural flavors,” no ultra-processed ingredients with long names, and no sugar substitutes. Just fresh, carefully sourced ingredients, thoughtfully combined.

Flavor you can see and, more importantly, taste!

Take our Lemon Pistachio Granola, whose citrusy zing comes from—yep—real organic lemon juice. It adds a vibrant lift and balances the toastiness of the pistachios, almonds and sunflower seeds. Verified customer Robert said it best in his recent review: “Always fresh. I love the flavor balance and never get tired of it. The lemon is a brilliant touch.”

And of course, there’s Michele’s Original Granola, the one that started it all. Its craveable flavor comes from a carefully crafted blend of organic whole grain oats, freshly shelled and sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, coconut, and pure vanilla extract made from real vanilla beans.

Real food just tastes better

Not only is real food better for the health of the planet and our customers, it tastes better too!

So the next time you top your yogurt with Cinnamon Raisin Granola, sprinkle Salted Maple Pecan clusters on your oatmeal, or snag a golden chunk of Original fresh out of the bag, know that what you're tasting is the real deal.

We’re proud of the quality ingredients that go into our products and the wholesome goodness that comes out of our kitchen. We know you can taste the difference.
